Parking in Downtown Seattle

Downtown Seattle is made up of Pioneer Square, Central Business District, Pike Market, Belltown, First Hill, Yesler Terrace, and International District. Belltown features some of the northwest’s best restaurants, nightclubs, and residences. The area is also home to Olympic Sculpture Park which opened in 2007. This nine-acre, outdoor sculpture museum and beach is maintained and operated by the Seattle Art Museum. The museum itself features over 25,000 pieces and underwent an extensive expansion in 2006. Pioneer Square is home to art galleries and cafes, as well as a great display of Seattle’s finest architecture. With so many interesting cultural neighborhoods and attractions, parking in Downtown Seattle can be quite difficult to find.

One of, if not the, biggest attraction in Downtown would have to be Pike Place Market. The market is designed to put buyers in contact with producers. Local farmers sell their produce at the nine-acre market, alongside a wide array of merchants, from book and antique sellers, to craftsman and fish sellers. Parking in Downtown Seattle can be quite difficult on the weekends when Pike Place Market attracts thousands of shoppers.
